This series will help you cultivate deep connection and trust between you and your body.

This Gentle Somatic Dance series will calm and nourish your whole Self: body, heart, soul, and spirit. As you create a gentle familiarity with your body and its needs, you are creating powerful neural pathways of trust. This is profoundly nourishing for the nervous system, and lays the foundation for healing and growth.

We will use gentle music and simple, guided, pleasure-based movement. We will also have Q&A time. These personalized discussions about your somatic experience will help your mind relax and your body soften, so that you can receive the nourishment you deserve.

The deeper layers of Gentle Somatic Dance

Spoiler: the purpose of Gentle Somatic Dance is not to get better at “dancing” or even to get better at “moving”. It’s about cultivating deep connections with yourself, within your nervous system, so that it’s easier and easier to build Primal Trust within yourself.

Session Details

We’ll meet on Zoom, five weeks in a row, for 75 minutes. Each session will include a combination of:

  • a guided somatic dance practice to begin, with soothing, inspiring music (10-20 mins)

  • check-in’s to help you notice what you’re experiencing, including time for your questions

  • a short lesson / demo for how to explore gentle somatic dance in your own body and integrate it into your daily life

  • a second guided practice with music (10-20 minutes)

You’ll also receive access to a group Google Doc, where I will post notes from each session within 24 hours. Here you’ll also see the link to your group playlist and options for your weekly practice.

In this 10-minute video, I talk about:

  • how the small group mentoring format works for you to receive personalized guidance

  • how we’ll use two guided somatic practices per session (10–20 minutes each), typically one at the start and one at the end

REQUIREMENTS  

You must be a current member of Primal Trust Academy. Please make sure you have completed Module 4 of Level 1, so that you have some Regulate tools available to you. I also ask that you have a basic self-regulation practice, so that you feel regulated enough to be in a small group. We agree as a group to refrain from symptom discussion and intense story-telling. I ask that everyone’s camera stay on during sessions, even if you are not on screen the whole time. Thank you. :-) 

REFUND POLICY: Registrations are non-refundable.

Before you register, please take a few moments to check in with your body and your heart. Ask yourself if this Series is a strong YES for you right now. Take some time to review the description. Each session will be a nourishing real-time experience.

Make sure the dates/times work well for you. There will not be session recordings available. If you find you need to miss a session, please know it will be ok, and you will still receive a lot from this series.

My goal is to provide you with the deepest levels of presence and care. When you join this Small Group Series, I ask that you meet me and the group with a strong level of commitment, even if you also have some resistance.

I do not offer cancellations, transfers or refunds. It would be impossible to keep multiple waitlists and switch people around. Please honor this boundary of mine.

“My somatic experience with Candace was incredible. The stretching we started with immediately softened my body and allowed for more space. I was able to feel my feelings and acknowledge sensations in my body without trying to escape them but being with them and then the movement allowed them to move and process instead of staying stuck.

I felt so much lighter and not so tense and tangled. While the music was playing I felt certain words resonate with my body and even some tears came up but they were tears of release. All of this gentle movement caused a huge shift, like this new way of healing could actually be my future.
