Small Group Mentoring

What’s the most overlooked tool for nervous system regulation?
Self-Compassion
Even when we realize how important it is, many of us struggle to truly understand what self-compassion looks like, let alone how to practice it.
Is this series for you?
Celebrate!
Primal Trust Small Group Mentoring Series with Candace Moss
Four weeks of joy, connection, creativity, and celebrating together!
Our first Celebrate group will meet over the holiday season, from mid-December through early January. This can be a time when many of us feel especially alone, sad, or disconnected. What a wonderful opportunity to come together, support each other, and give ourselves permission to celebrate!
What if we gave ourselves permission to celebrate, unabashedly?
To celebrate ourselves. To celebrate each other. To celebrate the beauty in the world around us. To celebrate what’s happening in our lives, and even what’s coming!
For those of us who have spent years in survival or protection mode, our nervous systems have gotten really, really skilled at looking for what’s wrong. We analyze, anticipate problems, and work hard to fix things.
What if we became just as skilled at noticing and celebrating what’s beautiful, nourishing, and joyful?
In this four-week series, we’ll practice shining a spotlight of attention on what we love, what feels good, and what we desire. We’ll nourish those things with our attention, our acceptance, our creativity, and our life force.
And we’ll do it together, in a warm, supportive community where we get to celebrate ourselves AND each other!
Panning for Gold
One of my favorite ideas for this group is learning to pan for gold.
Sometimes life is really, really hard. There may be a whole lot of dirt and sand, and just a tiny little nugget of gold.
We’re not going to pretend the dirt isn’t there. We’re not going to gaslight ourselves into thinking everything is wonderful.
We’re simply going to practice finding the gold that’s already there.
Both can exist. We can feel grief and still celebrate. We can experience challenges and still find beauty. We can honor the courage it’s taken to go through difficult experiences, even as we welcome more goodness into our lives.
And perhaps most importantly, we’ll practice celebrating without qualifying it. Without feeling the need to explain all the hard things behind the good things.
Just celebrating. Fully. Unabashedly. Because we can!
What we’ll explore together
Rewiring our resistance to celebration: Practicing a new way of noticing and welcoming joy, beauty, and goodness.
Celebrating ourselves: Learning to feel genuinely proud of ourselves, and welcoming encouragement and appreciation.
Celebrating each other: Giving and receiving love, encouragement, and joyful recognition within our group.
Finding the gold: Practicing the skill of noticing what’s beautiful and nourishing, even during difficult times.
Creative celebration: Exploring music, movement, dancing, drawing, writing, spoken words, and little everyday reminders of joy.
Celebrating without earning it: We don’t have to work hard to deserve a reward. We can celebrate just because we’re here!
What our gatherings will feel like
Imagine spending time each week with a group of people who are intentionally practicing the art of celebration!
We’ll have guided experiences, reflection time, creativity, music, and plenty of opportunities to share our celebrations with each other.
There will be moments to celebrate in the chat, opportunities to share out loud, and simple, playful ways to bring more celebration into your everyday life.
We’ll practice encouraging ourselves with words like, “I’m so proud of you! You’re doing such a good job! Yes, yes, yes!”
And we’ll enjoy witnessing other people celebrate their lives, their courage, their beauty, and their joy.
My hope is that we begin to see ourselves as people who have things to celebrate, and who are allowed to enjoy those celebrations fully.

I’m especially excited to offer our first Celebrate group over the holidays, when many of us may be feeling lonely, sad, or disconnected.
We’ll have each other to celebrate with, to encourage, and to remind ourselves that even in the midst of a challenging season, there can be little nuggets of gold waiting to be welcomed and enjoyed.
I would love to spend these four weeks celebrating with you!
With love,

REQUIREMENTS
You must be a current member of Primal Trust Academy. Please make sure you have completed Module 3 of Level 1, so that you have some Regulate tools available to you. I also ask that you have a basic self-regulation practice, so that you feel regulated enough to be in a small group. This could be any form of vagal toning or meditation that you do most days, even for just a few minutes. We agree as a group to refrain from symptom discussion and intense story-telling. I ask that everyone’s camera stay on during sessions, even if you are not on screen the whole time. Thank you. :-)
REFUND POLICY: Registrations are non-refundable.
Before you register, please take a few moments to check in with your body and your heart. Ask yourself if this Series is a strong YES for you right now. Take some time to review the description. Each session will be a nourishing real-time experience.
Make sure the dates/times work well for you. There will not be session recordings available. If you find you need to miss a session, please know it will be ok, and you will still receive a lot from this series.
My goal is to provide you with the deepest levels of presence and care. When you join this Small Group Series, I ask that you meet me and the group with a strong level of commitment, even if you also have some resistance.
I do not offer cancellations, transfers or refunds. It would be impossible to keep multiple waitlists and switch people around. Please honor this boundary of mine.

What members are saying…
“It really helped me feel on a deeper level. I feel like being way more conscious about being loving and nurturing toward myself has helped me so much! It has somehow helped me "feel", specifically during the C part of my ABC. It was like I didn't really know what I was aiming for before and now I can feel where I am going each time and it feels so good! I look forward to doing it (both my ABC and practicing self compassion) because it feels so good to me! I feel like learning about and practicing self compassion has helped me find a missing piece in my life and it was pretty powerful to experience it in a group of kind and supportive people on their own journeys.”
~ Erin
"I was amazed by the concept that we can meet our own needs. And I've heard that said before, and for some reason, it didn't totally land until it was in your group, and then hearing it in your group. The discussion we had really helped solidify it for me, like ‘Oh, my goodness, I can, I can meet these needs.’"
~ C.S.
"I talked so much about your group! I just loved it. I definitely liked being in community. I loved hearing from other people. I think it's very beneficial, the whole thing- so helpful. And it's definitely a good value.”
~ Lauren
"The support of this group series was really, really great. It's so easy just to feel so isolated. To get in there and hear other people…. I realized, 'Hey, I'm not alone in this.’ Also, being able to hear other people and see other people's process... It was really, really helpful. I got out of it more than I expected, for sure."
~ Megan
"I thought the group was a fantastic value. It was the same amount of money for an hour a week for four weeks as I would pay for a 55 minute session with a one-on-one mentor. It was a really affordable way for me to get some more personalized attention and... kind of iron out things that I was struggling with. There's a lot of value in having classmates and listening to their experiences too. I got a lot of really good ideas and insight from the other people in the group.”
~ Shannon
